How Does It Work?

1. Set up your MyDoc account

You will need to register to set up your MyDoc account. You will then be able to log in to access your details, questionnaires and reports via your dashboard page.

2. Complete our bespoke questionnaire

To be able to diagnose your condition, our specialists need to understand your symptoms and anything that relates to or influences them. Based on the answers to the initial screening questions, you will be asked to complete a more detailed questionnaire specifically relevant to you. This will cover: Your symptoms including how many episodes, their nature, how long they last/lasted and other details All the medicines taken since your symptoms started (dose, date started and stopped etc.) Relevant aspects of your medical history and your family’s medical history Other relevant aspects of your health If the specialist needs to ask more questions or clarify something, you will be notified by email that you need to log in to your account and answer the queries.

3. Photo Up Load

4. Blood test with the UK leading specialist pathology/clinical laboratory services.
(if required)

If your answers indicate further information needed, a blood test may be required (please note that a blood test may not needed for certain conditions). If required, a kit will be posted to you at home for you to take a finger prick blood sample yourself following the instructions enclosed in the pack. You can then post your blood sample to our accredited laboratory where it will undergo analysis. Allergy - The blood test we perform for Allergy (i-react) looks for IgE antibodies against a large number of relevant target molecules that cause allergy. The test used is the accurate and reliable ImmunoCAP ISAC test from Thermo Scientific Immunodiagnostics. It is a highly advanced tool and is endorsed by the World Allergy Organisation, used by leading immunologists and supported by multiple studies. The ImmunoCAP ISAC test uses modern biochip technology that measures IgE antibodies to a fixed panel of 112 components from 51 allergen sources.

5. Diagnosis by a specialist consultant

Once we’ve received your detailed questionnaire and blood sample if required, a specialist consultant will evaluate your clinical history, assess your blood test results and make a diagnosis. If the specialist needs to ask more questions or clarify something, you will be notified by email that you need to log in to your account and answer the queries.

6. Your detailed report and specialist advice

Within 10 working days of us receiving your detailed questionnaire and blood sample (if you are advised to send one), an email alert will let you know that your results are ready to download. You can log back into this site and find your results on your dashboard page. You can expect to find the following in your diagnosis report: Whether you have an medical condition  Your diagnosis Information given in addition to your questionnaire Advice from a specialist consultant with regard to the above Important information for the management of your condition Recommended medicines for the treatment of your condition Information for your GP together with the interpretation of your blood test results if relevant Copy of your online questionnaire answers that inform your diagnosis What to do next, including additional sources of further support and information ​ Our specialists will recommend the right treatment for you based on your diagnosis and will help you manage your symptoms long-term. They may recommend over-the-counter medication to treat your condition that you can then buy at a chemist or you may be prescribed medication. You will be able to purchase the prescribed medication through our online pharmacy and you can share your MyDoc report with your GP to request repeat prescriptions. ​ Your report should provide you with comprehensive information. However, if you need to ask a question or if there is anything that you don’t understand you can contact us twice within the month without further charge by using the ‘Discussion with specialist’ facility via your dashboard page.

7. How much does it cost?

The cost of the service depends on whether or not a blood test is required for your diagnosis. For specialist consultation only, the cost is £75. For consultation with a full blood test analysis, the cost varies and you will informed of the cost prior to submitting the information. You will be advised following completion of the screening questionnaire as to whether a blood test is necessary. For both services, you’ll receive a detailed report with advice and recommendations, a prescription where appropriate and the opportunity to ask questions.
